Come to the
St. Augustine Race Week
Youth Regatta!
Dear Sailing Coach:
We are again happy to announce youth racing during St. Augustine Race Week with 420 Sailors to compete in a two-day Youth Regatta in downtown St. Augustine April 17th & 18th. I hope you will encourage your sailors to participate in this unique and exciting event. St. Augustine Race Week also includes Offshore and Inshore PHRF racing and other events.
This year we will be using www.YachtScoring.com for registration. You’ll find a link on the www.staugustineraceweek.com website (Scroll down for the link). The 2021 SARW Youth Regatta will be for 420 Sailors only.
The Youth Regatta will be sailing in the shadows of historic structures like St. Augustine’s Castillo de San Marco and the beautiful Bridge of Lions. They will race in a protected, challenging saltwater venue where parents, tourists and spectators can cheer them on from the waterfront viewing area. An expert Race Committee with lots of safety boats will ensure safe, fair competition. All sailors will check in at the St. Augustine Yacht Club on Saturday morning. Participants will also be treated to lunches both days, dinner on Saturday and a great pizza / ice cream awards dinner at the St Augustine Yacht Club Sunday after the Regatta.
Regatta fee: 420 Sailors – $50.00 (covers both Skipper and Crew). A $10.00 late fee will be charged for registrations received after April 9th. To participate, each skipper must visit www.staugustineraceweek.com and fill out a registration form (Scroll down for the link). Payment can be made online or at registration via check, cash or credit card.
Logistics: Loading/Unloading, Registration, skippers meeting and awards banquets will all be held at St Augustine Yacht Club. Trailers can be unloaded on Friday night or Saturday morning. 420 boats can be stored on the beach on Saturday night. Support boats can be left on trailers or tied up on the public floating dock.
